Harris Teeter - Super Doubles Start Next Wednesday, November 3

Get prepared for Super Doubles, which starts next Wednesday, November 3, at Harris Teeter. This means that instead of doubling coupons up to just $.99, Harris Teeter will double coupons up to $1.98 in face value!

Check those Sunday papers! Clip all the coupons you find useful, paying special attention to those with $1-1.98 in face value which normally aren't able to be doubled. Check with friends or neighbors to get their coupon inserts too. Then check other sources as well.

Not sure where else to get coupons? Try The Coupon Clippers (www.thecouponclippers.com).

The Coupon ClippersThe Coupon Clippers is a company that clips and sorts the coupons for me. By using their services, not only do I save time going through newspapers with a pair of scissors in hand, but I also get to order larger quantities of the coupons that I intend to use most!

Here's an example of how the pricing works. Let's say a cereal coupon has a face value of $1.25. I might pay a handling fee of $.20 for it. It's a small price to pay for the savings, especially when these higher value coupons get doubled at Harris Teeter starting next Wednesday - yes, that coupon that cost me $.20 could end up saving me up to $2.50! Let's say I want to stock up on cereal. I could spend $.60 to get three of those coupons, and then, when doubled, I can save up to $7.50 on my purchase at the store. See how the savings adds up quickly?

Why not just buy up a bunch of today's Sunday paper? Well, you can, but The Coupon Clippers has coupons from past papers too... coupons you can't find in stores any more!

Post your order now and save as soon as Super Doubles begin next Wednesday!

IHOP - Free Scary Face Pancakes This Friday!

On Friday, October 29, IHOP will offer one free Scary Face Pancake trick or treaters 12 and under from 7:00am to 10:00 pm at participating locations.

For more information, visit www.ihop.com.

(And while you're there, don't forget to try the seasonal pumpkin pancakes! Mmm!)

Stockpiling to Cut Grocery Bills

The best way to save on groceries is to match coupons with items on great sales, but great sales don't come all the time and coupons do expire eventually. To get the best bang for your buck, stock up on the food and supplies that you use the most when you can get them for the cheapest price.

As you stock up on food and supplies, you'll find that you will not need to run to the store as often, which also saves on gas. You'll almost always have what you really need on hand, which cuts down on the emergency trips to the store where you have to buy something for full or nearly full price just because you ran out.

Here's a video with some great tips on stockpiling:

Photo Gifts - $100 worth for just $35!

Today, San Diego is offering a $100 Groupon for just $35, redeemable at Picaboo.com, an online photo gift store (cards, calendars, photobooks, etc.). You do not have to be from San Diego to get this deal. So log-in or register for Groupon, click "View More Cities" at the top of the page, then find "San Diego." This groupon doesn't expire until October 20, 2011! You can use this groupon across many visits to the site, and the credit can be applied to tax and shipping. Great for Christmas gifts!

What is Groupon?
Groupon is a great way to get awesome bargains! Subscribers can view the website or check their email each day for a new deal. If they choose to, they can purchase the deal. For the most part, these deals are most beneficial to one's local area, but sometimes, these deals would be beneficial to people across the country (such as today's deal in San Diego). To take advantage of deals in other cities, click "View More Cities" at the top of the Groupon homepage and pick the city/region you want.

How does Groupon work?

Groupon negotiates huge discounts on popular local goods, services and cultural events. Then they offer the deals to their subscribers. As long as enough subscribers agree to purchase the offer, the deal is on!

I've gotten some great deals before - like $10 for a $50 dinner in a local Brazilian restaurant, $25 for $100 towards a furniture store purchase, and $6 for $12 worth of ice cream. Groupon is awesome!
